Job Title: Automation Test Engineer
Location: Melbourne
Employment Type: Casual Contract (The engagement will be for initial six months)
About the Role:
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using Cypress.
* Build and execute mobile automation frameworks using Appium or similar tools.
* Collaborate with development, product, and QA teams to identify test requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
* Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and defect triaging.
* Drive continuous integration and delivery practices for automated testing.
* Mentor junior team members and contribute to QA best practices and process improvements.
* (Optional) Utilize JMeter for performance and load testing as needed.
Required Skills:
* Hands-on experience with Cypress (Mandatory)
* Proficiency in mobile test automation using Appium or similar tools (Mandatory)
* Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Skills:
* Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter
* Previous experience in leading QA efforts or mentoring team members
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
