About the Role
Balan Village Motel is seeking a dedicated and experienced Motel Management Couple to live and work onsite. This hands-on role is ideal for a couple with a strong commitment to guest service and operational excellence. As Motel Managers, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the property, ensuring a high standard of service, presentation, and profitability.
Onsite accommodation is provided and includes a comfortable one-bedroom manager's residence. The motel is conveniently located just 10 minutes from the charming cafes of Berry and 30 minutes from the stunning beaches of Jervis Bay. Bomaderry train station is nearby, along with gyms and grocery stores. Days off are negotiable, and support is available from an offsite staff member for calls and administrative tasks during breaks.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver outstanding guest service and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
* Oversee daily motel operations including reservations, reception, housekeeping, and general maintenance
* Manage email and phone inquiries in a timely and professional manner
* Handle purchasing, inventory, and stock control
* Ensure compliance with OH&S regulations and industry standards
* Provide local tourism recommendations to guests
* Recruit, train, and supervise motel staff
* Monitor room quality and continuously enhance the guest experience
* Note: This role does not include room service or breakfast operations
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience in motel or accommodation management (Preferred, but not necessary)
* Familiarity with Property Management Systems
* Experience managing OTA platforms such as and Expedia.
* Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
* Availability to work weekends and public holidays
