At Ibis Adelaide, our Guest Service Agents are the unofficial director of first impressions at the hotel front desk. You lead with warmth, ensuring every person feels welcome and creating memorable experiences right from the moment they arrive.

Job Description

Guest Service Agents are the first point of call for guests. Key responsibilities include checking guests in and out, handling enquiries from in‐house guests, and helping to maintain the hotel as the busiest in town. You will engage guests to ensure a sense of welcome and belonging, share local knowledge, and seize opportunities to wow guests when they least expect it.

Daily Mission

* Warmly welcome guests and provide ongoing support to the Reception team.
* Deliver exceptional guest service with a friendly, approachable manner that reflects our brand values.
* Assist guests with check‐in/check‐out and provide information during their stays.
* Respond promptly to guest concerns, taking ownership and following up with relevant departments to ensure satisfaction.
* Manage switchboard communications with the rest of the hotel operational teams (Food & Beverage, Maintenance, etc.).
* Process and take bookings during reservations after hours.
* Attend to guests with a skilled telephone manner.
* Think on your feet and anticipate guests' needs.
* Multitask with excellent time management.
* Resolve problems on the spot in a fast‐paced environment.

Qualifications

* Previous experience as a Guest Service Agent or Hotel Receptionist is ideal but not essential.
* A passion for people and a can‐do spirit that lifts everyone around you.
* Exceptional communication skills—written, verbal, and non‐verbal.
* Organized with a high attention to detail.
* Experience in a Reservations environment is an advantage.
* Familiarity with Opera Cloud, TARS Database, or similar PMS is preferred.
* Legal right to work full time in Australia.
