O'Briens Montessori Centre is a family-owned Montessori childcare seeking enthusiastic and dedicated multi-aged educators to join our team, working across all five of our classrooms. Our centre operates Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 6:00pm and provides a warm, caring, and homelike environment where children are encouraged to reach their full potential. We pride ourselves on fostering a nurturing environment that reflects our children, families, educators, and the wider community.
Role
We are seeking a part-time Kitchen Assistant to work alongside our Centre Chef. This position is 2 days per week, with rostered working days negotiable. The shift for these days is 8:30am–4:30pm. The Kitchen Assistant is required to be able to cook for the Centre in the absence of the Chef.
Responsibilities
* Support centre kitchen operations and assist the Chef as required
* Prepare meals and snacks in alignment with centre policies and dietary requirements
* Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained
Role Requirements
* Current Working with Children Check
* Current First Aid Certificate (including CPR)
* RRHAN-EC Mandatory Notification Training
* Food Safety Certificate
* Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
* Previous kitchen experience in a childcare setting
