Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional patient care in a surgical environment. This role is crucial in supporting dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient comfort. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and a passion for the dental field.
Responsibilities:
* Assist the dentist during surgical procedures by preparing instruments and materials
* Ensure the surgical area is clean and sterile before, during, and after procedures
* Manage patient records and maintain accurate documentation of treatments
* Provide post-operative care instructions to patients and address any concerns
* Monitor patient comfort and vital signs during procedures
* Assist in the management of dental supplies and inventory
* Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
* Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and patient satisfaction
Qualifications:
* Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualification
* Previous experience as a dental assistant, preferably in a surgical setting
* Strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure
* Proficient in using dental software and managing patient records
* Current First Aid and CPR certification
