The Company This is an opportunity to join a large and well-established organisation with a highly regarded in-house legal team supporting a complex operational and project-driven business. Legal is closely embedded with the organisation and works directly with operational teams, procurement and stakeholders across a broad range of commercial matters. The Role This newly created role has arisen due to internal growth within the legal team. Working alongside experienced in-house lawyers from strong private practice backgrounds, you will support a broad range of commercial and operational matters across the organisation. The role is heavily contracts focused and will include: • Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements • Procurement and supplier contracting • Supporting operational and project teams • Advising on contractual and commercial risk • Working closely with stakeholders across the business Importantly, legal is involved early in projects and commercial decision-making rather than simply reviewing matters at the end of the process. About You You are likely a commercial lawyer with approximately 3–6 years’ PAE coming from either: • a corporate/commercial private practice background; or • an existing in-house legal role You will bring: • Strong drafting and negotiation capability • Experience with commercial contracts and supplier arrangements • Confidence engaging directly with stakeholders • A pragmatic and commercially minded approach This role will suit a lawyer who enjoys understanding how businesses operate and wants broad commercial exposure within an established in-house environment.
