About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety advisor. This role is offering a Monday to Friday roster, Perth based with adhoc site travel.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with implementing the divisions OHS plans and strategies
* Conduct workplace audits and risk assessments and inspections
* Recommend remedies to identified risks & hazards
* Conduct incident investigations
* Time in field assessing safety at the job front
* Maintain accurate records and filing systems
* Compile, analyse and report work injury statistics
* Entry of incidents into multiple databases
* Injury management assistance
* Keep up-to-date with developments in the OHS field including legislation, regulations, guidelines & best practice
Skills & Experience Required
* Diploma or equivalent in OHS/HSE or OHS qualification
* Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience
* Achievement of Board agreed targets in relation to:
* Timely and accurate reporting of hazards, incidents and near misses;
* Continual reduction of workers compensation claims;
* Reduce Return To Work times
* Development and growth of company awareness and adoption of a zero tolerance culture in relation to WHS.
