About The Role
We are seeking a full-time Fleet Engineering Manager to lead our Engineering and Maintenance Team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the upkeep, reliability, and programmed maintenance of all vessels, pontoons, and land-based assets.
The role requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to promote a culture of shared vision and cooperation among team members.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver scheduled planned and unplanned maintenance programs for mechanical, electrical control systems, vessel structure, guest facilities, safety equipment, and ancillaries.
* Establish technical key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor technical performance of each vessel.
* Liaise with the Group Chief Engineer on asset upkeep and renewal planning.
* Ensure recording of maintenance defects and defect ramifications in Helm.
* Work closely with Stores, Procurement, and Maintenance Manager, Planning to ensure maintenance stock levels are maintained.
About You
The successful candidate will have previous maritime asset management experience and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
You will be able to provide guidance, support, and coaching to the Engineering staff within Cruise Whitsundays on marine engineering and technical matters.
The role requires project and change management skills, experience in conducting risk assessments, and intermediate computer literacy.
Requirements:
* Marine superintendence &/or Marine Engineering qualification.
* HLTAID011 Provide First Aid & Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - Mandatory.
* Previous maritime asset management experience and ideally exhibit knowledge of a variety of engine OEMs.
