**About the team & role**
The Cyber & Data team provide Cybersecurity governance and Data solutions that are modern, reliable, focused on supporting FWO's business needs.
We are looking for a motivated applicants to work as part of a small team to deliver solutions to business problems, leveraging on-prem and Cloud technologies. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a range of stakeholders and work with various systems across the FWO and FWO's service providers.
**Typical Duties**
The duties and responsibilities of this role include, however, are not limited to:
- Supporting and upgrading Microsoft SQL Server databases and Servers.
- Pro-active and continual performance monitoring, tuning & support of the SQL Server environment
- Creating and maintaining database-related documentation, including standard operating procedures
- Ensuring products are maintained appropriately within their supported lifecycles
- Administering and managing Microsoft SQL Server instances across FWO, including Disaster Recovery solutions
- Contributing to the development and implementation of FWO's processes in on-prem and Azure cloud offerings
**What we are looking for**
- Demonstrated skills in configuration and administration of Microsoft SQL Server, including Integration and Analysis Services with SQL Server Management Studio and Transact SQL (T-SQL)
- Experience in monitoring health and performance of Microsoft SQL Server instances to proactively identify and resolve critical events to ensure high availability, performance and security compliance
- Experience in troubleshooting database related issues and outages
- Excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain close, positive working relationships with other support teams and service providers
- PowerShell scripting expertise
- Experience with Microsoft ETL tools (Azure Data Factory and SSIS) and Azure DevOps pipelines/Git
**Desirable qualifications**
Tertiary qualifications in ICT or a related field and/or equivalent experience as a database administrator.
