We are recruiting Enrolled Nurses to join a 24/7 nurse-led team at a youth justice facility in Malmsbury. This role includes patient assessment, medication administration, clinical monitoring, and supporting activities of daily living. ENs will work under the supervision of Registered Nurses, providing holistic care to young people in custody and contributing to a multidisciplinary team approach.
You will work across a rotating roster, including day, afternoon, and night shifts.
Key Duties
5. Deliver patient-focused nursing care, assessment, and monitoring
6. Administer medications and manage wound, respiratory, and neurological care
7. Escalate clinical deterioration to Registered Nurse on duty
8. Support daily living activities and wellbeing of young people
9. Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance with policiesSkills & Experience - Essential
10. Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
11. Experience in medication administration (oral, topical, IM, SC)
12. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
13. High-level communication and interpersonal skills
14. Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights and weekendsDesired Skills & Experience
15. Paediatric or youth healthcare experience
16. Experience supporting marginalised or culturally diverse populations
17. Awareness of issues affecting young people in custody
18. Strong organisational and problem-solving skillsOther Requirements
19. Working With Children Check (WWCC)
20. National Police Check
21. Ability to obtain Department of Justice & Community Safety security clearance
