About The Opportunity
We're seeking two temporary Procurement Officers to assist our team in providing significant support across the Council to deliver critical projects. To be successful, you'll have procurement experience, collaboration skills, and attention to detail.
The ideal candidates will possess:
* Experience in general procurement, including procurement principles and purchasing & supply contract requirements.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver customer service and/or high-quality service delivery.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously.
* Sound interpersonal and negotiation skills.
* Strong computer literacy, with Authority experience being an advantage.
On a Typical Day You Will:
* Undertake procurement strategies to achieve effective procurement and contract outcomes for the Council.
* Ensure value for money is realised and contracts deliver required outcomes with appropriate governance.
* Provide procurement advice to Council staff on delivering value for money, risk management, and compliance with procedures and best practice.
* Support the Senior Procurement Officer and/or Procurement Manager.
Employment Details:
Full time, Temporary roles available for 6 months and 12 months, working 35 hours per week.
Salary: $84,727 - $94,836 (depending on skills and experience), plus 11.5% superannuation.
