As the Fleet Team Leader you'll play a pivotal role in managing and developing our fleet team, overseeing contracted partners, and ensuring the safe and compliant operation of all vehicles. Your focus will be on driving efficiency, optimising fleet assets, and delivering high-quality transport services.
You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate records and procedures, championing safety, and leading SQE (Safety, Quality, Environment) processes. This role is central to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance within Barwon Water's fleet operations.
You'll lead the implementation of safety procedures, design and deploy standard vehicle specifications, and identify opportunities for cost savings and improved service delivery. The position is a fixed term until June 2027 within a dynamic and supportive team environment.
About you
Your excellent communication skills will allow you to bring impact and motivate, as you build valued relationships with stakeholders. These relationships will allow you to find continuous improvement and efficiencies across the Barwon Water Fleet, relying on your problem solving and creative flair.
Your logistics or fleet experience will be challenged in this rewarding role and underpinned by qualifications in Business, Engineering or similar. Working in a small team, you will be a valued member of the Barwon Asset Solutions and supported in your career development.
As travel is required across various operational sites, a full driver's license is required for this this role.
