The Role
As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting managers and staff across a wide range of human resources functions. Reporting to the Assistant Director, you will provide practical, legislative‑compliant advice on recruitment, performance development, employee relations and HR policy, while contributing to continuous improvement across HR frameworks and processes.
You will manage and coordinate end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding activities, partner with business areas to respond to HR enquiries, and support the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives. The role requires discretion, adaptability and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage complex and sensitive matters confidently.
About You
You will bring extensive prior experience working within the Australian Public Service in a human resources role, with a strong working knowledge of APS legislation, frameworks, policies and enterprise agreements.
