Victim Support Specialist
The Victim Response program focuses on providing critical support to individuals affected by violent crimes. This intervention model operates 24/7, ensuring timely assistance in times of need.
As a Victim Support Specialist, you will work within a trauma-informed framework, delivering intake and assessment, immediate support to victims and their families, and witnesses impacted by serious violent incidents.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Tertiary Qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Social Work, Psychology or Social Science)
* Minimum 5 years relevant experience
* Demonstrated experience in trauma informed practice and crisis response
* Proven ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
* High-level communication, listening, and advocacy skills
* Ability to manage change and difficult situations
* Strong personal resilience to sustain work in environments that may involve vicarious trauma
* Current driver's licence and Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
