TSH (formerly Telethon Speech & Hearing) provides integrated services for children with hearing loss and/or speech and language difficulties from newborns to 18-year-olds.
A team of education professionals work collaboratively alongside allied health professionals to empower children to hear, communicate, connect and learn.About the roleWe are seeking Specialist Teachers to join our highly regarded Outpost Partner School Support Program in 2026 – a program which provides comprehensive in-school support for students with hearing loss who use oral communication from K-12 at our partner primary and secondary schools around the Perth Metropolitan area.These are truly unique teaching roles that provide individualised specialist support to students who are fully integrated into mainstream classes and receive the curriculum from our partner schools in the following locations:Aquinas College (Temporary Term 1) – 1.0 FTEFrederick Irwin Anglican School – 0.8 FTEMater Dei College – 0.6 FTEThese collaborative roles partner with a highly skilled team of professionals (including psychologists, speech pathologists, audiologists and occupational therapists) to support students both within the classroom as well as away from the mainstream classes to focus on specific areas including extra language, speech, auditory, social/emotional and academic support.About youThe successful candidates will be experienced and/or qualified Special Needs Teachers with highly developed numeracy, literacy and language skills.
Extensive knowledge of childhood social and emotional development is required as well as the ability to create an inclusive and nurturing environment that recognises every person's unique talent and fosters positive outcomes.The successful candidates will also have a history of building strong relationships with external stakeholders and families, be adaptable to different expectations and environments and be able to coordinate and utilise the resources and knowledge around them to provide exceptional support to individual students.TSH is committed to providing a child safe environment and promoting practices which provide for the safety, wellbeing and welfare of our children, clients and families.
