Cancer Care Specialist
The role of a Cancer Care Specialist involves delivering high-quality clinical care to patients with cancer. This includes assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and implementing these plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
As a Cancer Care Specialist, you will be responsible for supervising and mentoring junior medical staff, including doctors and nurses. You will also contribute to service planning, policy development, and quality improvement initiatives that aim to enhance the delivery of cancer care services.
In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will participate in clinical teaching, research activities, and hospital-wide programs that focus on improving cancer care outcomes. This may involve working with multidisciplinary teams to develop new treatments, conducting research studies to improve patient outcomes, or participating in educational programs to enhance the skills of other healthcare professionals.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
* MBBS or equivalent, with current registration with the relevant medical board.
* Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) in Medical Oncology.
* Demonstrated clinical expertise and ability to deliver patient-centred care.
