About The Role
As our Group Facilitator, you'll co-facilitate the "Taking Responsibility" group as part of the Men's Behaviour Change (MBC) program. You'll play a pivotal role in creating a therapeutic group environment to promote change and accountability for men who have used violence in their relationships. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering trauma-informed care and fostering positive behavioural change. You'll:
* Facilitate the Taking Responsibility group program - working with men who use violence in an accredited Men's Behaviour Change Group Program
* Have a sound understanding of the gendered nature of family and domestic violence and an ability to effectively assess and respond to risk of harm, for all affected victim survivors
* Collaborate with co-facilitators and the wider Family Safety team to provide interventions that facilitate behavioural change and promote safe and healthy relationships
The details:
* Casual role based in various locations including Blacktown / Sydney City / Wollongong / Remote work online
* Main availability required Monday/Tuesday/Thursday between 3pm - 9pm
* $48 - $54 per hour(depending on skills & experience) + 30% casual loading +11.5% super + 17.5% leave loading and tax-free salary packaging up to $15,900. (Increase your take home pay. Calculate Your Savings at https://www.salary.com.au/calculate-your-savings)
What you'll bring:
* Formal graduate qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline
* Post-graduate qualifications in counselling, trauma, group work or MBC practice are highly desirable
* Minimum of 3 years of experience working with families affected by domestic and family violence, including facilitating group work or MBC programs
* Strong understanding of MBC practice, trauma-informed care principles, and the dynamics of domestic and family violence
* Group facilitation skills, particularly in men's behaviour change programs (desirable)
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others and foster relationships based on mutual respect and equality
* High-level therapeutic skills that focus on empathy within a goal oriented program and accountability framework
