About the Role
As a skilled Panel Beater, you will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are returned to their pre-accident condition through quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inspect and verify received parts for correctness and defects
2. Disassemble vehicles according to job sheets
3. Label and store parts
4. Document broken parts and extra repairs, submitting them to estimators as required
5. Verify new parts for correctness and communicate defects to parts managers or production managers
6. Mix and match vehicle colours after preparation and painting
7. Build and maintain colour libraries
8. Prepare, prime, and paint vehicles according to job sheet requirements and paint supplier processes
9. Buff and denib vehicles
10. Repair vehicles to OEM standards and according to estimates and job sheets
11. Reassemble vehicles
12. Handle vehicles with care and attention
13. Clean workbays and workshop areas
14. Coach apprentices when required
15. Handle company tools and equipment with care, ensuring they remain safe, clean, and functional
16. Adhere to our occupational health and safety policy, including personal protective equipment
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Trade qualified Panel Beater
2. Previous experience in a similar role
3. Strong commitment to working safely
4. Excellent communication skills
5. High attention to detail
6. Able to work effectively and collaboratively with the team
7. Ability to meet strict deadlines
8. Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
9. Own tools for the role

Minimum Requirements:
1. AQF Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology or equivalent experience
2. Minimum 4 years of experience
