The opportunity with us as a Payroll Officer

Following an internal appointment, we're growing and are now looking for a Payroll Officer to join our high-performing team. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for delivering accurate payroll across Woolpert APAC. This is a permanent full-time position with hybrid work arrangements. You may choose to be based in our Sydney or Melbourne office for this role.

You will be:

* Processing end-to-end payroll including fortnightly and monthly cycles.
* Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation including superannuation, payroll tax and applicable awards.
* Onboarding new employees and processing terminations.
* Preparing Superannuation reconciliations and lodging payments including the Corporate Superannuation Funds.
* Handling payroll queries and month‐end tasks.
* Producing regular payroll reports for stakeholders.

We're looking for someone who has:

* At least 2 years' experience in a similar position.
* Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders across all levels.
* Ownership of processes with a focus on delivering outcomes.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
* Understanding of Modern Awards and EBA interpretations.
* Exposure to payroll in New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia.
* NetSuite or Dayforce exposure, particularly Zone Payroll.
