Job description

The Entry-Level / Associate Quality Engineer supports manufacturing, engineering, and customer-facing activities to ensure product and process compliance. This role works closely with Operations, Engineering, Program Management, and Customer Quality representatives to perform investigations, generate metrics, support audits, and drive corrective actions. The Level 2 QE contributes to both floor-level quality response and program-level quality analysis, helping ensure stable, compliant production processes.

Key Responsibilities

* Serve as the Quality representative for assigned program(s) and participate in the CDM CIMS Process.
* Support Operations, Engineering, Program Management, and other functions through trend analysis, root cause investigations, and documentation of corrective actions.
* Generate periodic Quality metrics for internal and customer reporting, including Program Core Meetings, Site Reviews, and Division Reviews.
* Collect, trend, and report quality-related issues or potential risks affecting assigned programs.
* Support customer interface activities and act as a liaison with Customer Quality Assurance Representatives.
* Participate in customer program reviews, customer visits, and customer audits.
* Champion corrective action efforts using internal systems (CARTS, C-CARTS, SPCARTS) and external customer corrective action databases.
* Support First Article Inspections (FAI) by assisting with data collection and report preparation.
* Use SAP/MES systems for work order tracking, documentation updates, and daily ZROUTSTAT review support.
* Assist with internal audits, FAA compliance reviews, and process assessments.
* Support MRB activities and create dispositions for nonconforming tags (WTs) under supervision.
* Participate in Corrective Action Board (CAB) meetings as a contributor.
* Follow established quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation standards.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on defect reduction and process control.
* Attend internal, customer-facing, and FAA-related meetings as a team representative or recorder.
* Assist in preparation activities for FAA and customer audits.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
* 0–2 years of experience in quality or manufacturing.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with willingness to learn RCCA methods.
* Basic understanding of quality management systems, inspection methods, and manufacturing processes.
* Ability to interpret technical documentation, work instructions, and quality procedures.
* Proficiency with SAP/MES systems preferred.
* Effective communication skills with the ability to interact across operations, engineering, and customer teams.
