The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced MaintenanceOfficer, who is passionate about their profession and enjoys therewards of a challenge, to join the City's Marina andWaterways team. Working as a member of a small team, theMaintenance Officer delivers scheduled and reactive works at theMandurah Ocean Marina, and in and around Mandurah's beautifulwaterways (including coastal and estuarine areas) to achieveexcellent outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you willneed:
* A current unrestricted 'C' class nationaldriver's licence
* The ability to meet the requirements for the RecreationalSkippers Ticket (RST) or a Coxswain ticket
* Basic Worksite Traffic Management (BWTM) and TrafficController (TC) accreditation (or be prepared to acquire theaccreditation through training)
* A certificate to operate high pressure water jetting plant(and or be prepared to acquire certification throughtraining)
* Experience in basic carpentry, fixing, fabrication, andconcreting (or a willingness to learn these skillsets), andpractical experience with hand/precision tools
* Ability to operate a small vessel
* Previous experience in a marina and waterways environment(desirable)
* Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)
