Opening Information
Position: Teacher English - Murrumbidgee Regional High School - Griffith (0000B3WK).
Base salary ranges from $90,177.00 to $137,861.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Total remuneration up to $156,253.00.
Relocation support: $5,000 up to $8,000 available for eligible applicants.
About the School
Murrumbidgee Regional High School is a large 7-12 comprehensive secondary school in Griffith with 590 students, including 12% Aboriginal and 22% Pasifika students. The school has Clontarf Academies, an Aboriginal Learning and Engagement Centre, a Pasifika Community Liaison Officer, and offers high‑quality pathways in hospitality, engineering, and agriculture. It boasts strong STEM, VET, and instructional leadership.
Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach English Years 7-12.
- Well‑developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with all key stakeholders.
- Proven ability to develop innovative, engaging teaching and learning programmes that cater for a diverse range of learners to improve student outcomes.
- Ability to use effective classroom management skills to create an engaging, inclusive classroom workplace that fosters a culture of high expectations.
Conditions
Applicants must hold an unconditional full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education. If you do not hold a fully approved licence, the application process must include commencement of licence application.
Employment Details
Applicants seeking either permanent full time or permanent part time employment are encouraged to apply. For part‑time positions (FTE 0.1–0.9), the role will be offered at the applicant‑desired FTE. Applicants on the eligibility list are offered the remaining FTE but are not obliged to accept.
