Background
LGH ED is a modern, purpose‐built 43‐bed unit seeing approximately 45,000 presentations per year, with a 30–40% admission rate and a 20% paediatric caseload.
* All major in‐hospital specialties
* A fully supported ICU with ECMO capability
* 24‐hour cardiac interventional angiography
* Direct consultant supervision 8:00am–midnight, 7 days per week
Training & Career Development
At LGH we take training seriously and personally. You'll be immersed in a supportive learning environment with close mentorship from a passionate FACEM group who actively share expertise in Ultrasound, Paediatrics, Retrieval Medicine, International EM, Medical Education and Medical Leadership.
We are accredited for 24 months of Emergency Training, including paediatric logbook accreditation and TS4 accreditation, and run a highly regarded Primary and Fellowship Exam preparation program supported by two consultants on the ACEM Board of Examiners.
* ED Special Skills Ultrasound position
* 6‐month Anaesthetics rotation
* Potential medical specialty rotations
* Protected CST time for Senior Registrars
Registrars receive 5 hours of paid, protected teaching time each week, tailored to all training stages. This includes monthly paediatric‐focused teaching taught by Paediatric Emergency Specialists.
Salary and Benefits
Medical Practitioner Level 5 – 11: \$134,930 – \$189,005 per annum, pro‐rata + 12% superannuation.
* Salary packaging options include living expenses up to \$9,010 and \$2,650 in meals and entertainment every year.

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria as follows:
* General or Limited Registration with the Medical Board of Australia
* Current Working with Children Registration
Desirable criteria include:
* Evidence of current Advanced Life Support or equivalent Emergency Life Support course certification and up‐to‐date resuscitation skills
* Engagement in a relevant training programme, such as ACEM/FACCRM/EMC/EMD or equivalent qualifications
