**The Role**: 
Icon Homes is currently seeking a Civil Engineering Technician to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and motivated professional to play a key role in the delivery of high-end residential construction projects across Sydney.
As a Civil Engineering Technician, you will work closely with project managers, engineers, designers, and site supervisors to ensure the technical quality and compliance of our construction works. You'll support the full project lifecycle—from technical assessments to on-site inspections—ensuring every detail meets the highest standards
**Principal Responsibilities** 
- Review job sites and inspect construction quality to ensure adherence to design specifications and standards. 
- Analyze engineering, architectural, hydraulic, and stormwater drainage plans. 
- Review and interpret Geotechnical reports and provide insights for construction planning. 
- Prepare bar bending schedules and coordinate steel and reinforcement bar orders. 
- Verify structural steel and framing details, including compliance with engineering requirements. 
- Conduct regular site visits for inspections, quality assurance, and compliance checks. 
- Support the sales and tendering teams by providing technical expertise in presentations, client meetings, and project proposals. 
- Perform fieldwork, including site surveys and inspections of civil engineering works and construction materials. 
- Communicate effectively with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical issues. 
- Ensure projects comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies
**Experience and Qualifications** 
- Bachelor degree in civil engineering, material science or related field 
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in residential construction or a similar role. 
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, construction methodologies, and building codes. 
- Experience with bar bending schedules, steel detailing, and civil inspection protocols. 
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic CAD software (AutoCAD preferred). 
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites regularly.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
