Role: Business Partner, specialising in Work, Health and Safety (WHS).

Location and duration: Temporary full-time opportunity – 6 months; role based in Parramatta/Sydney with flexible/hybrid working environment.

Grade and salary: Clerk Grade 9/10; Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $129,464 to $142,665 + super.


About The Role

The Authority is seeking a professional to be our People, Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner. In this strategic role, you'll partner with the business to deliver work health and safety frameworks that support our workforce strategy. You'll lead key initiatives, provide expert WHS advice, and collaborate across teams to enhance employee wellbeing and reduce risk.

* Provide expert WHS advice while leading strategic initiatives that enhance workforce capability and safety.
* Build strong stakeholder relationships to improve the delivery of WHS strategies and foster a positive employee experience.
* Develop and implement programs, policies, and systems that support staff, leaders, and executives with WHS solutions.
* Drive organisational effectiveness through learning and development, risk management, and continuous improvement practices.
* Produce high-quality reports and insights to inform decision-making and support best practice across the agency.


About You

You are an experienced work, health and safety professional who has strong experience in partnering with the business to advise on risk management. This role will suit an individual with a good ability to interpret policies and is committed to improving workplace practices.

* Experience in WHS or wellbeing-related roles
* Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management frameworks, and best practice safety principles
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and influence across diverse internal and external stakeholders


Essential Requirements

* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline and/or equivalent experience in a relevant field

The NSW Reconstruction Authority is a statutory corporation and executive agency of the Premier's Department, that will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster. To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the NSW Reconstruction Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses and government.
