Lime Mine Engineer
Join Boral as a Lime Mine Engineer at our Marulan site in a 12-month fixed-term position, covering a maternity leave contract. This is a permanent full-time opportunity, where you'll contribute to the ongoing success of our limestone mining operations supporting our Berrima cement business.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Lead weekly planning activities, including drill and blast planning.
* Contribute to or lead long-term mine planning and mine design (depending on experience).
* Prepare and deliver monthly production reconciliations: plan vs. Actual.
* Manage overburden (waste) removal operations using internal and external mining contractors.
* Organise and coordinate mine surveys to ensure mining is in line with design.
* Collaborate with laboratory teams and support quality control and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Liaise with environmental and compliance teams to ensure mine activities meet regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant mining operations.
What We Are Looking For:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mining Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
* Proficiency in Excel and solid computer literacy.
* Experience with Surpac or similar block modelling and mine design software highly regarded.
* Strong communication and planning skills.
* Valid Driver's Licence – travel to the pit is required.
* A mindset for continuous improvement and cost efficiency.
* Ability to work effectively across technical and production teams.
