The Opportunity
Based at the Transfer Station in Auburn, NSW, we are seeking 1 x qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanics.
The successful candidates will also be responsible for overseeing daily work activities to ensure all tasks are carried out safely and effectively, consistently meeting or exceeding customer contractual requirements.
Mechanic (Waste Trailers, Yellow Gear, Trucks)
* Experience in servicing, diagnosing, and repairing waste trailers, trucks, and yellow gear (earthmoving equipment)
* Strong background in heavy diesel mechanics, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems
* Ability to conduct routine and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability
* Proficiency in fault-finding and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
* Knowledge of compliance standards, roadworthy requirements, and heavy vehicle inspections
* Welding and fabrication skills (advantageous for on-site repairs)
* Ability to work across a variety of equipment in both workshop and field environments
