Data Protection Role Overview
As a highly skilled professional, you will be responsible for the configuration and maintenance of data protection platforms, including Microsoft Purview and Varonis. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement policies for discovery scanning, classification, labelling, DLP detection, monitoring, reporting, and alerting.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Support the configuration and maintenance of data protection platforms.
* Design and implement policies for discovery scanning, classification, labelling, DLP detection, monitoring, reporting, and alerting.
* Execute the eDiscovery process to support responses to cyber incidents, HR investigations, financial crime reviews, and legal proceedings.
* Maintain DLP controls across endpoints, cloud services, storage platforms, and email systems.
* Monitor data access patterns and assist in investigating anomalies, insider threats, and policy violations.
* Enforce controls and support the detection of breaches of data governance frameworks.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate data protection controls into broader data governance strategies.

* You have technical hands-on experience configuring and supporting data protection platforms.
* You have a strong understanding of data discovery, classification, labelling, and DLP controls across enterprise environments.
* You are familiar with eDiscovery tools and digital evidence handling processes.
* You can monitor and investigate data access anomalies and policy violations.
* You have strong collaboration skills across technical and security teams.
* You are committed to promoting data protection awareness and compliance.
* You have knowledge of data governance frameworks and privacy legislation.
