About the role
As our Government Relations Advisor, you'll lead state-based advocacy initiatives, craft impactful policy briefs and communications, build strong government and sector relationships, and drive advocacy campaigns. Reporting to the National Government Relations Manager, you'll work closely with Regional Faculty Managers and senior stakeholders to influence healthcare policy and champion the interests of general practice across Australia.
Responsibilities
* Lead and support state-based advocacy strategies aligned to RACGP priorities and healthcare policy objectives.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with government representatives, industry stakeholders, and RACGP members.
* Develop high-quality advocacy materials, including briefs, submissions, correspondence, and stakeholder communications.
* Coordinate advocacy campaigns, events, and cross-functional initiatives to strengthen RACGP's influence and impact.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in government relations, policy or advocacy
* Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
* Excellent written communication and briefing capability
* Understanding of Australia's healthcare and GP sector
