In this role, you'll:
As part of the Road Maintenance and Resilience Division, this role leads and supports a team to deliver safe, efficient and high‑quality maintenance work. You’ll coordinate resources, manage day‑to‑day activities, and ensure accurate reporting across safety, environmental and compliance requirements. The position also participates in an on‑call roster, responding to incidents and operational needs as required.
You will manage risks by monitoring performance and safety data, resolving issues, and ensuring all work complies with policy, contractual, WHS and environmental obligations. The role also supports managers and engineers with minor projects, exercising relevant delegations and assisting with estimating and contract management to ensure work is delivered to agency standards and timeframes.

About you:
You have solid experience in civil construction, road maintenance, traffic control or foreman-level work, with the ability to interpret project, construction and contract documentation. You’re confident leading crews and supervising both direct-control and contractor teams to deliver safe, efficient and high‑quality work.
You communicate clearly, manage conflict effectively and build positive, productive team environments. Your collaborative, hands‑on leadership style motivates crews to perform at their best.
You also hold relevant trade qualifications and/or equivalent industry experience, along with any required tickets or certifications for agency works.
