**The Opportunity**
The Teacher of Cabinetmaking is responsible for** **delivering educational programs and facilitates learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes. The role of the teacher involves a broad range of activities which directly and indirectly support learning through the delivery of educational programs.
As the state's largest provider of vocational training, TAFE NSW plays an important role in delivering future-focused, responsive, and flexible skills education to the people of NSW, regardless of who they are, or where they live. Our educators underpin the delivery of quality educational outcomes and exceptional learner experiences. **About you**
You are passionate about sharing your extensive industry experience in cabinetmaking and supporting the next generation of student learners.
In the role, you will be able to not only impart your technical skills but also the industry standard safety culture to your students. Equally, its important you understand current and emerging industry skills in this high-risk profession so TAFE NSW can be responsive to deliver a pipeline of highly skilled and in-demand workers.
**To help you be successful in the role, you must have**:
- Certificate III in Cabinetmaking or equivalent in Kitchen, Bathroom Manufacturing.
- Certificate of Proficiency (Desirable)
- Three (3) years relevant post-qualification industry experience within the last 3-5 years, with at least one (1) years' experience in an Australian workplace context
- Hold a Certificate IV TAE40116 or equivalent*

A suitability list may be created for this position, and future opportunities with position(s) of the same classification that subsequently become vacant may be filled using this suitability list which will be valid for 3-years.
