Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Educator
Part-time- minimum 15hrs per week during term time, additional hours available during vacation care.
The OSHC Educator supports the delivery of engaging, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate programs for school-aged children (generally 5–12 years old) in before-school, after-school, and vacation care settings. The Educator works collaboratively with the OSHC team to ensure a safe, positive, and stimulating environment aligned with the My Time, Our Place Framework and National Quality Framework (NQF).
Key Responsibilities
Program Delivery
* Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating daily activities that promote children’s learning, wellbeing, and development.
* Support the delivery of a child-centered program in line with the My Time, Our Place learning outcomes.
* Contribute ideas and input into program planning and documentation.
Supervision and Safety
* Actively supervise children to ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times.
* Follow and uphold service policies and procedures related to child protection, behaviour guidance, and health and safety.
* Respond effectively to children’s needs, ensuring a supportive and inclusive environment.
Relationships and Communication
* Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
* Communicate effectively with the OSHC Coordinator and other team members regarding children’s participation and wellbeing.
* Support a culture of collaboration and professional conduct.
Compliance and Administration
* Maintain accurate attendance, incident, and health records as required.
* Adhere to all requirements under the Education and Care Services National Regulations and National Law.
* Participate in ongoing professional learning and staff meetings.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
* Certificate III or higher in Children’s Services, Education Support, or equivalent
* Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
* Current First Aid in Education and Care Setting (HLTAID012 or equivalent)
* CPR and Anaphylaxis/Asthma Management training
* Knowledge of or willingness to learn about the My Time, Our Place Framework
* Experience working with school-aged children (preferred)
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Current Child Safety Training (as required by QLD legislation)

Pay: $30.00 – $36.00 per hour
