Independent Brands Australia (IBA) is the retailer arm of Metcash's liquor pillar. We're the largest network of independent liquor retailers in Australia, supporting Cellarbrations, The Bottle-O, IGA Liquor, Porters Liquor, Thirsty Camel and Duncans.

About the Opportunity

Based at our Crestmead office, this role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the growth and success of the IBA network within your state. As the IBA Business Manager, you'll collaborate across multiple business functions, work closely with banner members, and guide the Field Sales team to deliver industry‐leading retail programs and outstanding service to the network. You'll also play a key role in shaping retail strategy by capturing local market insights and partnering with suppliers to bring innovative consumer initiatives to life.

In this Role
* Collaborate with the IBA Support office in providing local input / guidance to the Merchandise and Marketing functions, in development of tailored Promotional programs and Marketing strategies for all IBA banner groups within your market.
* Growth of the existing IBA network and new business strategy.
* Partner with state retail committees to ensure promotions are effective and delivering against our growth objectives. Act as the champion for all IBA Liquor promotions enquiries and ensure that the program is effectively communicated to all internal and external stakeholders.
* Provide leadership to the IBA Operations team within your state. Ensure that a strong team culture is developed, and results are delivered and executed within agreed timelines. A passion for bringing out the best in your team demonstrating high performance coaching methods.
* Engage with the state retail committee, and the broader membership, to build rapport across the IBA team, in turn, strengthening the partnership with the IBA retail network.
* Partner and build JBP's with key suppliers to bring to life global, national & local brands to ensure all IBA retailers have the right range, the right price, and the appropriate promotion in their store
* Have an insatiable curiosity to develop the best store in town creating the stores of the future for Cellarbrations, IGA, Porters, Thirsty Camel & The Bottle O.
You're Likely a Match If
* Demonstrated team leadership and people management experience, including coaching and developing high‐performing teams.
* Strong selling and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships and drive commercial outcomes.
* Solid commercial acumen, with sound judgement and an understanding of financial and market drivers.
* Well‐developed analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actions.
* Confident presentation skills, capable of engaging and influencing a variety of stakeholders.
* 5+ years' experience in a similar role within a commercial, retail, or FMCG environment.
