QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government. It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.
About the role
You will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by delivering exceptional level of data accuracy, validation and reporting across multiple uplift projects, ensuring QBuild teams are delivering capital projects inline with customer expectations.
Duties and skills involved:
* Supporting the development and implementation of processes to improve QBuild's Capital Works teams' capability, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and strategic objectives.
* Conducting research and analysing data, project information and performance metrics to identify trends, risks and opportunities, and developing tailored resources, tools and materials to support improvement initiatives and capability development.
* Promoting a culture of continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies, challenging existing processes and implementing solutions that drive improvements in delivery and performance.
* Providing advice and support on best practices, procedures and standards related to project management, contract administration and construction management to enhance operational efficiencies.
* Coordinating and managing improvement initiatives, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones and the preparation of accurate and comprehensive reports to meet organisational and stakeholder requirements.
* Providing administrative and operational support to the Chief Construction Office team, including preparing documentation, developing and maintaining reports which includes preserving business information integrity.
* Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate collaboration, ensure alignment with organisational goals and achieve agreed outcomes within specified timelines and budgets.
* Supporting the delivery of capability uplift initiatives by contributing to training, knowledge sharing and the development of tools and resources that enhance the skills and performance of Capital Works teams.
Additional requirements (desirable):
* Experience in developing and maintaining reports utilising data visualisation tools and software (e.g. Microsoft Excel) and the extraction and analysis of data from other business systems will be highly regarded.
