The Opportunity The Administration Officer role is to provide administrative, transactional and general support to the greater shipyard operations team What’s involved Develop, manage and regularly update systems and registers to ensure they remain accurate and fit for purpose. Provide efficient and reliable administrative support, prioritising tasks to meet daily and weekly deadlines while assisting team members to achieve shared goals. Act as the first point of contact for staff and clients, handling enquiries professionally and coordinating site access for all visitors and employees. Prepare, review and maintain documentation, plans and reports in line with company standards and project timelines. Collaborate with colleagues to support the achievement of team and departmental objectives. Manage incoming calls, emails and requests to ensure smooth communication and timely responses across the department. Ensure all records, reports and documentation meet organisational quality standards and compliance requirements. Identify and support opportunities to improve administrative processes and systems to enhance team productivity and service delivery. Provide support to the administration team during unplanned absence or leave You’ll need Essential Relevant experience working in an administrative/project support role Competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact and communicate positively and professionally Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines whilst managing multiple tasks/projects High attention to detail and accuracy and a provide high quality output Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment Basic knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes Why Austal Competitive compensation and benefits package.
