Machine Operator – Slitting Operator & Conversion Operator
Morning, Afternoon & Night Shift Available| Monday to Friday
Location: Acacia Ridge, QLD
About the role
We are seeking reliable and motivated individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and previous experience in machine or equipment operation. As a Machine Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of packaging materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Pay rate: Competitive hourly rate with overtime paid at penalty rates.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Operating the slitting & conversion machines and other related equipment
* Monitoring machine performance and conducting quality checks on packaging materials
* Setting up machinery for different production runs according to job specifications
* Ensuring efficient production output while minimizing material waste
* Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting minor mechanical issues
* Following all safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organized work environment
Ideally you will have:
* Previous experience operating production or packaging machinery (slitting experience highly regarded)
* Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
* Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
* A commitment to safety and following procedures
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
