We are an accredited provider of residential out-of-home-care and the preferred provider for Individual Placement Arrangements in NSW.
Currently recruiting Youth Workers with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage to provide trauma-informed care for children and young people.
This role is designed to promote positive outcomes for children and young people in placement, with specific supports provided to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people.
The Primary Role Responsibilities include committing to rostered hours, engaging positively with children and young people, promoting their best interests and safety while holding a trauma-informed lens.
Cultural safety will be ensured through fostering a positive cultural identity within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people. Seeking positive relationships with extended family and local Aboriginal community is also key.
Operational Role Responsibilities include ensuring a healthy, well-kept living environment, promoting healthy routines, meals, activities and interests tailored to each resident. Contributing to daily planners, attending appointments and meetings as requested, promoting positive relationships with family and friends where safe and appropriate, and completing mandatory reporting and daily agency reporting accurately and within timeframes.
Maintaining professional relationships at all times and circumstances is essential. Acting in cultural activities and education for Aboriginal children and young people is also required.
