As a skilled maternity healthcare professional, you will play a vital role in supporting patients and their families through every step of their journey to becoming parents.
About the Role:
This position requires a highly motivated and compassionate individual who can provide all aspects of care in gynaecology, special care nursery, and postnatal care for mothers and babies. You will be responsible for taking time with patients, documenting assessment findings, promoting an environment of confidence and respect, and assessing the needs of patients and families during and following hospitalization.
* Conduct patient interviews and examinations, documenting assessment findings
* Identify actual and potential problems through discussion with patients, family, and relevant others
* Assess and document anticipated needs of patients and families
* Monitor results of diagnostic procedures and investigations
* Support Graduate Nurses, Nursing Affiliates, and Nursing Students as needed
You must have a registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife, demonstrated commitment to quality patient care, and well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills. To succeed, you will need to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary healthcare team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality patient care and upholding our organisation's values.
