About the role
Adelaide Hills Education Centre is seeking an experienced and passionate Maths Teacher/Tutor to join our team on a casual basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work with high school students in the Adelaide Hills, supporting them with their Maths studies.
What you'll be doing
* Providing a high level of academic teaching to assist students in improving their Maths skills and confidence
* Developing personalised learning plans to cater to each student's individual needs and learning style
* Delivering individualised programmes in small group Maths tutoring sessions to high school students, Years 7-11.
* Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching methods as needed
* Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning
* Maintaining accurate records and providing feedback on student progress
What we're looking for
* Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting
* A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience is required
* Strong knowledge of the high school Australian Maths curriculum and the ability to teach a range of Maths topics
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues
* Show initiative and flexibility, work co-operatively
* Adaptability and creativity in tailoring your teaching approach to individual student needs
* Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for helping students succeed
* Relevant teaching qualifications and Working With Children Check
