Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled Logistics Professional to join our team as a Transport Driver. In this critical role, you will play a vital part in the transportation of supplies to hospitals and health facilities across Queensland.
Key Responsibilities:
* Loading and unloading supplies using roll on/roll off trolleys, tallboys, pallets and/or roll cages in a safe and efficient manner.
* Delivering and collecting handling units in accordance with relevant schedules, work instructions, procedures and policies.
* Operating heavy vehicles and associated vehicles as required, adhering to road rules and Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL).
* Maintaining accurate vehicle logs/driving records and submitting them to supervisors for review.
* Cleaning vehicle interiors and bodies daily, adhering to operational procedure and infection control requirements.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* A current Medium Rigid, Heavy Rigid, or Heavy Combination licence is mandatory.
* A Forklift or High Risk Work Licence would be highly regarded.
* A safe and responsible driving record with no history of accidents or incidents.
* A sound knowledge of chain of responsibility compliance and safe work practices.
* Physical fitness for loading and unloading tasks.
* Good communication skills and dependable behavior.
