Base award hourly rate for this role is $25.85 plus casual loading ($32.31 per hour Mon-Fri).
About the role
We are seeking Catering Assistant/Kitchenhand to join our modern kitchen team at our client's aged care facility located in Casino, NSW.
This is the perfect opportunity for an industry professional and 'self-starter' to join our group at a state-of-the-art aged care facility.
* Multiple shifts across Monday to Sunday.
* Weekend and Public Holiday Loadings apply.
* The successful applicant must have received at least 2 doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine, and provide a current Federal Police Check certificate, or be willing to apply for one.
Skills and experience
* Aged Care experience is desirable, but not necessary.
* Reliable and punctual
* Ability to multi-task and perform work within deadlines.
* Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients.
* The ability to support the chefs and the team in a busy kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing meal service to elderly residents
* Cleaning of kitchen, serveries and dining room set up.
* Adhering to and completing quality assurance documents
* Washing dishes and plating of meals
* Preparing salads and sandwiches in the main kitchen
* Function set up and clear down.
* Assist the Chef and Chef Manager as required in day-to-day tasks.
