Crane Technician Role Summary
This role involves performing routine inspections and maintenance on overhead cranes, hoists, jib cranes, and lifting gear. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machinery inspections and maintenance, with experience in a heavy industry environment.

* Perform routine inspections and maintenance on overhead cranes, hoists, jib cranes, and lifting gear
* Respond promptly and safely to emergency repair needs
* Complete inspection checklists, document defects, and recommend corrective actions
* Collaborate with planning teams on maintenance scheduling
* Contribute to safety investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements and Qualifications
* Recognised trade qualification in Fitting, Boilermaking, or a related mechanical trade
* Strong technical knowledge of machinery inspections and maintenance
* Exposure to heavy industry environments - past experience with crane maintenance is highly regarded but not essential
* Familiarity with Australian Standards, WHS regulations, and industry best practices
* A strong safety mindset, clear communication skills, and excellent customer focus
* Confidence using SAP and MS Office tools
