About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for a highly organised State Promotions Specialist to join Metcash on a full-time basis at our Canning Vale site.
This role is responsible for executing national promotional programs while supporting the state to grow and deliver state-based promotional initiatives. Partnering closely with Retailers and State, Channel, and National teams, you will play a key role in driving promotional performance and growth across the state.
In this Role
* Proactively collaborate with cross‐functional teams to support the state execution of strategies and projects
* Partner with the National State Promotions Manager to improve promotional performance, including analysing, planning and reporting on retail and wholesale promotional sales, GP$ performance across various promotional mechanics, state‐based initiatives, catalogues and channel promotional activity
* Lead State Retailer Committee meetings as required, prepare promotional performance presentations, and partner with retailers to identify and deliver promotional opportunities
* Execute day‐to‐day promotional activities, including catalogue checks, pricing, stock availability, allocations and responding to queries
* Collaborate closely with the National Promotions and Trading teams to support promotional outcomes
You're Likely a Match If
* 5+ years in FMCG sales or promotions, with a strong focus on delivering outcomes and continuous improvement
* Confident in presenting to large groups and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Works well in team environments, manages time effectively in fast‐paced settings, and maintains high attention to detail and weekly deadlines for print
* Understands Independent Retailer networks, shopper behaviour, and catalogue/print production processes
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, SharePoint, and cloud‐based tools
