Furniture Finisher / Spray Painter
Perfect Spray Solutions in Botany, NSW 2019, is currently looking to hire for the position ‘Furniture Finisher / Spray Painter’.
We are only looking for experienced personnel at this time. You must have at least 3 years’ experience as a furniture finisher to be deemed suitable for this fulltime role.
There are multiple vacancies available and there is annual remuneration of between $75,000 to $85,000 (negotiable) + superannuation on offer.
Duties
- Fill cracks and imperfections on furniture
- Read and follow plans for furniture designs
- Remove old finishes and damaged parts
- Recommend woods, colours, finishes and furtniture styles
- apply 2 pack polyurethane coatings to furniture items, custom joinery components, reception counters
- Some French polishing skills required to mix up stains, colour match timber samples and apply stains and clear coatings to joinery items
- Process and procedural documentations to comply with manufacturers’ MSDS and technical requirements.
- Testing, commenting and documenting new products; including paints, solvents and various spray painting equipment
Experience / Skills required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a furniture finisher
- Strong experience finishing furniture with varnish, paint, lacquer, oil and spray paint. In particular, strong experience with finishing furniture with spray paint is desirable
- Some cut and buff experience
- Robust attention to detail and workplace health and safety
