Drainage Attendant Job
We are seeking a qualified Drainage Attendant to join our Water and Wastewater team.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to perform operations, maintenance, and construction works on urban drains, water, and wastewater infrastructure.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out operational and maintenance tasks as directed, performing labouring tasks, and contributing to daily planning discussions.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out operational and maintenance tasks on Council's urban drains, water, and wastewater infrastructure
* Perform a range of labouring tasks required for the operation, maintenance, and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure and the urban drainage network
* Contribute to daily planning discussions, toolboxes, and other relevant meetings ensuring that operational safety standards are met at an operational level
* Work an on-call roster outside of normal working hours
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A current Class C Drivers Licence
* General Construction Induction training (White Card)
* A basic level of computer literacy and competence in use of tablets
Desirable qualifications include a Certificate III in Water Operations or Civil Construction (Pipe laying).
