Role Overview
As a Cloud Application & Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining secure cloud-based applications and infrastructure. This role ensures that cloud environments are resilient, scalable and compliant with industry security standards.
You will collaborate with development, operations and cybersecurity teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle and cloud architecture.
The role we are offering you
* Design and deploy secure cloud applications
* Implement and manage cloud security controls including identity and access management, encryption and network security.
* Monitor cloud infrastructure for security threats and respond to incidents
* Collaborate with cross functional teams to embed security
Our ideal candidate has:
* Extensive experience with cloud platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
* Familiarity with cloud-native storage and database services
* Proven experience with serverless and container security
* You will ideally hold relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Security. Azure Security Engineer Associate, or equivalent
Location:
* Homebush, NSW
* We operate a hybrid working approach.

Security requirements
As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
