The Opportunity

You will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering innovative system and process solutions that support UniSC's strategic priorities and enhance the student experience. Operating with significant autonomy and senior professional expertise, you will lead and drive system improvements in collaboration with stakeholders across the University, helping to design future‐focused services and business practices. You will identify opportunities for efficiency, analyse complex business and user requirements, prioritise competing demands, and manage workflows to ensure successful outcomes. In addition, you will provide leadership, mentoring, and development to staff within the Student Systems team, while delivering clear reporting, insights and recommendations that support effective decision‐making, continuous improvement, and successful project delivery.

NOTE: this position requires an on‐campus presence; therefore, fully remote work arrangements will not be supported.

You will
* Lead the business analysis of complex business processes, systems and structures, identifying business requirements and successfully implementing business improvements with a mix of business change and process improvement while exercising independent professional judgement and accountability for outcomes in complex and ambiguous service environments;
* Develop project management artefacts including but not limited to business cases, functional specifications, user acceptance test plans and communication plans ensuring artefacts actively inform decision‐making and stakeholder trade‐offs; and
* Manage the integration requirements of key digital projects to optimise the effectiveness and efficiency of the solution across the organisation with a primary focus on student‐facing service outcomes rather than technical optimisation alone.
About you

You are a highly analytical professional with extensive experience in enterprise systems, ideally including student information, research management, and other complex platforms. You thrive in dynamic digital environments, expertly translating business needs into practical system and process improvements that deliver real impact. Highly organised and adaptable, you manage multiple priorities effectively while building and sustaining strong, collaborative relationships across diverse stakeholder groups both within and outside the organisation. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills enable you to clearly articulate ideas, influence outcomes, and secure buy‐in at all levels. A proactive team contributor, you support a positive and high‐performing team culture, help resolve challenges constructively, and provide guidance and mentoring to colleagues to support shared success and achieve organisational goals.

You will possess
* Completion of a relevant postgraduate qualification with subsequent extensive relevant experience and proven expertise in project delivery, ideally within the higher education sector; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training demonstrating accountability for outcomes and senior‐level professional judgement;
* Extensive experience and highly developed analytical skills, ideally with knowledge of student information systems, research management systems and other enterprise platforms;
* Understanding of and experience in the planning, development, integration and implementation of digital systems, applications and services, preferably within higher education in complex, service‐led environments subject to policy, compliance and student impact considerations;
* Ability to organise and manage multiple tasks to achieve successful outcomes in a timely manner through the establishment and maintenance of collaborative relationships across and outside the organisation;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to convey information and gain acceptance of ideas and engage successfully with different stakeholder groups across an organisation;
* Extensive experience in working effectively within a team environment, contribute to the resolution of conflict and participate equitably in positive and successful organisation wide teams working to achieve corporate goals and objectives. Provide direction and mentoring to other team members; and
* Extensive use and experience with PeopleSoft Student/Oracle Campus Solutions and/or related systems such as Curriculum Management, Timetabling, Customer Relationship Management, Reporting particularly where this experience involved interpreting complex student lifecycle requirements and service impacts rather than system configuration alone.
