Salford College is seeking a Trainer to deliver and assess the Certificate iii in Wall and Floor Tiling. Key responsibilities include: planning and developing training and assessment activities; facilitating training; conducting assessments; participating in moderation and validation meetings.
The successful candidate must demonstrate:
ability to facilitate training in an engaging and dynamic manner
Tiling Trainer: vocational experience and current industry skills in carpentry and be able to demonstrate experience in Industry.
current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning
* ability to contribute to the development of assessment tools in accordance with unit requirements; Principles of Assessment and Rules of Evidence
* ability to work collaboratively to improve the learning outcomes of students.
* commitment to continuous improvement, enthusiasm and contribute to a positive team environment.
Essential qualifications and requirements:
* TAE40110 Certificate iv in Training and Assessment
* Certificate III in Tiling or equivalent
* Drivers license - some local travel may be required
* Police clearance
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
* Qualification and experience in Trades
* Has worked in a in the industry
* Has at least 5 years work experience in Industry post studies
* Can start immediately
* Has experience in teaching/training (not mandatory)
The position is a part time and permanent position or a contract.
