* Employment Term: Full-time, max term until 30 June 2026 with the possibility of extension

* Remuneration: $88,090.08 + super + $15,900 NFP salary packaging

Your part in our UnitingCare team
We are currently seeking a passionate team player to join our Homelessness Service. The Case Worker role will be based at our Southport site within the Gold Coast Homelessness Service Immediate Housing Response program. This is a fixed term, full time role to June 30 2026, with a possibility to extend.
You will be supporting single people, couples without children experiencing primary homelessness and families, by delivering client-centred case management from a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach. Your tasks will include working with clients to maintain emergency motel accommodation whilst working towards their goals and longer-term housing solutions.
You will use high level communication and rapport building skills to identify and assess needs, strengths, safety and risk to develop and implement a holistic case plan alongside the client.
You will utilise your strong written communication and IT skills to navigate a range of databases and administrative tasks and will work both autonomously and as part of a supportive team of professionals.
What makes a difference for us?
You will have demonstrated experience providing case management support to vulnerable persons in crisis. Experience in the homelessness sector is a distinct advantage, particularly with those who are currently sleeping rough and may present with complex barriers to obtaining and maintaining accommodation.
Requirements
Cert IV Community Services related field.
Australian Drivers Licence.
QLD Working with Children Check - Blue Card.
Desirable
Completed / be working towards a Bachelor Degree in a Human Services related field.
