BRICKLAYER required for a well-established Australian business "EUREKA HOMES PTY LTD" located in Shepparton VIC 3630.
Prospective applicants must have prior experience of working commercially as a bricklayer.
Duties include.
Laying bricks.
Shape bricks to fit irregular spaces.
Cut, shapes, and polishes stones and bricks using machines and hand tools.
Embedding blocks in mortar and removing excess mortar
Applying or removing mortar using trowel.
Using dyes and pigments to colour mortar.
Fastening bricks with wire clamps or cement.
Correctly mix mortar powder, sand, clay and water.
Read & analyse building plans and carry out planned tasks as per the plans and specifications.
Interpret work orders and determining the material required.
Sealing foundations with damp resistant materials.
Check building alignment using spirit levels and plumb lines
Measuring distance from reference points
Repairing and maintaining building blocks.
Repairing existing fittings/structures
Constructing walls using stone slabs and large masonry slab blocks
Leveling & straightening walls, ceiling surfaces, angles and corners.
Work safely on scaffolds and swing stages at various heights.
Erecting and dismantling restricted height scaffolding
Check vertical and horizontal alignment

Applicants with formal qualifications (AQF Certificate III in Bricklaying) with at least 2 years of practical experience will be prioritised.
Position is available full time, 38 hours/week but applicant must be available for 7 days a week and willing to work odd hours (Weekend & early morning/ late night shifts).
Another mandatory requirement is a driving licence & a vehicle.
Applicants must be willing to travel across Victoria to perform work in urban and regional locations.
